Non-thesis MS Degree Requirements

Courses

All Non-thesis Master’s students are required to submit a degree plan with 32 credit hours of coursework.

MS students are required to take  PHSC681 (Seminar) for the duration of their enrollment. M.S. students will also be required to complete the residence requirement.

Electives: All student are required to take the rest of the credits from the pool of Prescribed Elective Courses (see above, 12 credits). The GPC will assist with the selection of courses when needed.

While research is not required for a non-thesis MS degree, there will be plenty of research opportunities for students who desire to gain related experiences, either through volunteering in the lab, or by taking the directed study courses.
