Biography
Mr. Gilbert Reyna is a retired United States Navy veteran who served 20 years on active duty. During his service, he served onboard 2 US Navy warships abroad, served in 5 overseas commands, supported a fleet of Trident submarines, a Seahawk helicopter squadron in Atsugi, Japan, and completed his final tour on Okinawa island with the United States Marines in 2012. Mr. Reyna participated in several military campaigns and served a total of 16 years with forward deployed naval forces in Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, and Japan.
After his retirement from the naval service, Mr. Reyna turned his focus to assisting students to achieve their educational goals. He joined the Beeville ISD Afterschool Centers on Education (ACE) as a center director in 2012, then went on to pursue a master’s degree in 2014 from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Mr. Reyna joined Texas A&M University Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy in April 2015 and now leads the Instructional Design and Support Services team as part of the college’s Office of Academic Affairs.
