Shelby Purdy

Biography

Shelby Purdy comes to the School of Pharmacy from the central Office of Marketing and Communication for Texas A&M University-Kingsville, a state school with approximately 6,000 students. While there she served as a media relations liaison, communications specialist and ultimately a digital media manager who established excellence in emerging social media marketing. In 2020, she joined the School of Pharmacy to provide oversight over branding, executive communications, media relations and marketing. Her expertise in assessing trends and organizing content will help strengthen the online presence of the School of Pharmacy and ensure excellence in reputation. She meets regularly with top communicators across Texas A&M University to share expertise and resources and to ensure the School is strategic, modern and part of larger Texas A&M marketing efforts. Purdy earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from the Texas A&M University-Kingsville College of Arts and Sciences.
